The case of Midhat Pasha. London, July 22.
It having definitely transpired that the report received on the Bth (that the sentence of death passed upon Midhat Pasha, for complicity In the murder of Sultan Abdul Aziz, had been commuted to bani-hment to Arabia) was incorrect, and chat the death sentence is to be carried out, the British Government has sent a communication to the Earl of Duffeiin, Ambassador at Constantinople, instructing him to intercede with the Porte on behalf of Midhat, and to urge commutation of the sentence of death.
