Native Matters. New Plymouth, Last Night.
Major Parris returned to town last night from Puugarchu, and states that he has not succeeded in settling the difficulty, although the natives have lett. The disputed land is abont half an acre adjoining the reserve. The natives refuse to cultivate any but the disputed land, which is on the rise of a hill, and not lit for' the purpose they say they want it for.
