The Chamber of Deputies. Paris, July 7.
In the Chamber of Deputies a debate took place on the subject of the negotiations now proceeding- for the renewal of the Anglo-French Commercial Treaty. Firard, Minister of Commerce, stated that France would insist upon specific duties being levied upon British goods, and no French treaty could be concluded on any other basis.
