The Irish Land Bill. London, July 6.

In the House of Commons last night, during the consideration of the Irish Land Bill, in committee, the Right Hon. W. E. Forster, Chief Secretary for Ireland, proposed as an amendment to one of the clauses that the Government should be authorised to lend one-half o^ the Irish arrears of the Irish rents for the years 2878 and 1879 in cases where the tenants are £30 under the amount of their agreements with their landlords.
