' . ' Alexandra, Last Night. .Tawhuo and the natives at Hikuraugi are anxiously expecting the arrival of Major Mair. Some three hundred natiyes, pi incijfially Ngatimaniapdtos, wish to accompany him to Ngaruaw ahia to visit the graves of their dead there and in the vicinity. Hewi will be of the party, and Te Wahanui ha« at length agreed for the first time to meet Europeans and accom-, j pany the party. The time of their arrival depends on Major Mair. Tawhiao being desirous firnt of interviewing him, and, if possible, to have his company. The natives will probably arrive here on Saturday next. It is reported that Mr Robert Graham is anxious to join the party on their tour to the various settlements, which may extend to Taupo.
