THE CAMBRIDGE EAST PUBLIC SCHOOL.
Fob some time past the building has been undergoing complete renovation in the matter of additions and other improvements and the contractor Mr Barker has now almost completed his task, and will shortly have the new portion of the building ready for occupation. The new room which has been erected is 40ft. by 20ft. and is capable of accomodating about 90 pupils. It is exceedingly well lighted and ventilated and is also accomodated with a suitable fire-place. There are now two lavatories one for the boys, and one for the girls, and ths old lobby having been considerably enlarged and improved upon can now be converted into a comfortable class room if necessity requires it. The whole school is now capable of accomodating over 230 pupils without the slightest inconvenience.
