[UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION.] The Meat Freezing Question. Wellington, Last Night.
A large meeting was held at Carterton this morning in reference to the frozen meat and dairy produce trade. An influenfaal committee was appointed to take the necessary steps to co-operate with the similar movement at Wellington and on the West Coast.
Church of England Trusts. The Standing Committee of the Wellington Diocese, to whom was referred the draft of a bill for the incorporation of the Church of England trusts which it is proposed to introduce to Parliament this t,ession, have reported strongly against the measure, and have passed a resolution to the effect that the bill does not proceed on the linos laid down by the General Synod, and therefore ought not to be introduced into Parliament until it has first been submitted to the General Synod.
