Small-pox at Sydney. [REUTERS TELGRAMS.] Sydney, Last Night.

The steamship Rotomahana, which arrived yesterday afterndon from Russell, has landed her passengers, but the captain declines to allow any farther contact with the shore until he is advised from New Zealand how to act. No fresh cases of small-pox are reported in the city since the 15th, and the Health Officers continue to use every precaution to prevent the disease spreading. The weather is clear and frosty. Owing to the absence of any fresh case of small-pox, the panic in reg.ird to the outbreak has considerably subsided.
