Wellington, Last Night. Intelligence has bqen received by the Government that the cutter Hannah, of Invercargill, left for Mutton Bird Island, to the east of Stewart Island, two months ago* and it has not been seen or heard of. It is supposed she is wrecked and crew believed to « be cast away on one of the islands, near Stewart Island, suffering privations. Inspector Buckley applied to the Government to send the Stella in search. Instructions have accordingly been telegraphed to Captain Fairchild to search the island j after 1 ■ leaving the Bluff for the West Coast.
