Land Tax. Melbourne, May 26.
In the Legislatno Council yesterday, the second reading of the Land Tax Amendment Bill was moved. It was strongly opposed, and a petition was read signed by 1800 small and laige householders against it. The debate was adjourned till Tuesday.
