Mam and Snowden being deputed to meet contractors on the ground on Thursday, 26th inst., at 2 p.m. < No tenders will be considered eligible unless accompanied by a deposit of 10 per cent, on amount of tender. Written Tenders will be received at this Office until noon of MONDAY, June 13, 1881, for the above Contract. They must be addressed to the Hon. the Minister for Public Works, Auckland and marked outside, " Tender for Morrinsville Contract." Plans and specifications can be seen at the Public Works Office, Auckland ; at the Po^t-office Hamilton ; at the Wardens Office, Grahamstown, Thames ; and at the Public Works Office, Wellington. Telegraphic Tenders, similarly addressed and marked, will be received, if presented at the Telegraph Office by noon of the same date, provided that Written Tenders in due form are lodged at a District or Resident Engineer's Office by the same hour, and accompanied by a cheque on some Bank in the town where the Tender is lodged; such cheque to be specially marked by a Banker as good for twenty-one days, and io be in favour of the Receiver-General 1 s Deposit Account only and not to bearer or order.
