Enthusiastic prelimiuaiy meetings weie held List niurhfc at the Tueatre Royal and at Burwood in reference to the verdict recently delivered in the Bulletin libel case. Resolutions wero passed at both meetings th.it subscription lists be opened to indemnify the proprietors of the paper for costs of the trial, which are es-tim ited at £12,000. £100 was promised at the Theitre "Roy^il moetin^.and over £20 at Burwood. Large meetings arc beinf? oruranised to carry out the resolutions passed.
