[BY ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH, PRESS ASSOCIATION.] New Plymouth, Thursday.
It is reported that the disturbance near Pungarehu between the A.C and the natives, as mentioned by the Hawera correspondent, turns out to be nothing serious. The affair referred to happened nearly a fortnight ago, and arose out of some misunderstanding between two or three natives and a European. Te Whiti has given permission to the natives recently leleahed from gaol to return to their hapus. A number parsed through town this morning' on their way homeward, after an absence in some cases of nearly two years.
