"DOROUGH OF HAMILTON. It is hereby publicly notified, in pursuance of "The Rating Act, 1876," and " The Municipal Corporations Act, 1876," that the Hamilton Borough Council intend, on TUESDAY, the 21st day of June next, to make and levy a GENERAL RATE of One Shilling in the £ upon the annual value of all Rateable Property within the Borough of Hamilton for the >ear ending 31st ifarch, 1882, payable in one sum on the first day of August, 1881, at the Hamilton Borough Council Office, Victoria-street, Hamilton ; and that the Rate-book and Estimate of Expenditure are now open for inspection at this office during office hours, J. M. GELLING, Town Clerk. Borough Council Office, Hamilton, May 19, 1881.

SEALED TENDERS will be received at the County Council Chambers until noon of Monday, the 20th of June, for the erection of the Haerini Bridge and Viaduct on the Tauranga, Te Puke, and Rotorua Road. Plans, specifications, conditions, and other .information can be obtained at Messrs Turner and Buddies Office, the Strand, on and after Tuesday, the 17ih instant.
