French Action in Tunis. Rome, May 13.
There is a division of opinion in the Ministry as to the action which should be taken by Italy in view of the French position in Tunis. Several meetings of the Cabinet have been held, but no understanding could be arrived at. The Liberal members of the Ministry have in consequence tendered their resignation to the King. News of the treaty signed between France and the Bey of Tunis has caused considerable astonishment throughout Europe.
