ATTEMPTED MURDER AT RIVERHEAD.

Our Auckland correspondent lelegiaphs last night :— At the Police Court to-day, Sims, on lemand, wag charged that he did wilfully and maliciously attempt to kill and murder Ann Carlin, by stabbing her in the neck with a knife at Biverhead on the 2Sth ultimo. Further evidence having been given, prisoner was committed to take his tri-il at the next sitting of the Supieme Court.
