DISTRICT CENSUS RETURNS.
We are indebted to the Chief Enumerator for the following returns, classified in accordance with the sub-enumeration districts under which the population of the district as a whole was enumerated. Mr Mair, the enumerator, writes : — '■ The return has been hurridly made up, and may not be absolutely correct ; but the difference, if any, will be very trivial. It is necessary to add that the population of Kawhia ib embraced in Pirongia and Ivarioi ridings."
