The Sandown Grand Prize, a handicap hurdle race of 2o soys., with 500 soys. added, was won by Mr Read's Northfleet. At the Grand Military Meeting, the Household Brigade Cup was won by Muscatoon. a son of Musket. The Grand Military Gold Cup fell to Lobelia. The celebrated Blink Bonny stud was sold on the 3rd of March. Mv J. Turner, of Dunedin, has been elected slipper for the ensuing season of the Canterbury Coursing Club. Mataku, the grand-looking son of M aroro and Kaupo, has been purchased by Mr Chaffe for 400 guineas. The same gentleman has also secured a filly by Traducer from Toi Toi for 350 guineas.
