Buckl.md reports a f.iir attendance at his Oh.iupo cattle sale, on fucsd.iy, 26th April :— C.ilves. 26s to L 2 2s 6d ; dry cows, L 2 2s Od to L 3 7s 6d , steer calves, L 2 to L 2 5s ; two-ye.ir-old steers, L 4 :os to Li 12s 6d ; cows .it profit, L 7 5s to JL7 i2s 6d ; beet, 23s to 25s per loolbs. , tat slioep, usod to r2s 6d each ; lambs ios ; merino wetheis, 5s Gd.
Mr Alfred Buckland's Weekly Report.—At the Greyhound Yards on Frid.iy, April 22, fodder was plentiful, me.idow hay bringing from 2s qd to 3s gd; oaten, from 2s 6u to 3s per cwt.; chaff, 2s 6d per bag; and m.iue, -;s }d to 2s 6d per bubbel. Horses were in short supply. Useful farm hors.es brought from L<!o to L 25 . light hacks L 4 to Ll3 ios.—At the H.iymarket, on Tuesday, hides ranged in price from 2d to 3^ the lb.; pelts Irom 6d, and skins .it 2s 5d eac h ; wool in grease, 7Jd the lb. —At Papakur.i, on Wednesday, a small muster of fat cattle found icady buyers at current v(ilucs, and young cattle in condition were in good demand, and obtained slightly improved prices. —At Kcmucra, on Thursday, dairy cows near calving were in less numbers than usual, and in good demand, at full prices. Store cattle of a good class were plentiful; puces were in favour of the buyers, and some calves were withdrawn. Fat cattle in moderate numbeis; 10} head yarded, generally of good qu ility. Pi ices were for coarse and insufficiently tatted animals from 22s but well fatted steers brought between 26s and 30s the loolbs. —the f»reati"r"number about 265. Sheep were in average supply ; about 700 yarded. Last week's prices, from 2^d to 23} the pound, were steadily Mist lined. Pigs were in full numbers, many of good quality, out the prices obtained weie low. Messrs Hunter and Nolans Weekly Report. — Horses. —'lhcre h.is been renewed vitaht in the market, and o\er an average number have changed hands. On Friday, at the Durham Yards, entries were more numerous than for some weeks There was good competition throughout, and, with the exception of very few lots, anticipated") prires were ..reached. We quote :—Hacks, from L 7 15s to L2O; light harness horses, from Li \ to L2l ; draught, L 34 ios. Wool, Hides, and Skin. —lhe supply has been moderate md the demand steady. Hides sold at from 3^d t6 3;jd ; skins, from gd to 5s 6d; wool (in greosc), 7id; tallow, 22s (3d per cwt. Cattle. —A ste.uly di mand has existed for an a\erage supply, and prices lia\e remained unaltered. At Newmarket, on luesd.u, scarcely tue usual number were yarded Moie davy tows, paiticularly if of good disc nption and close to their proht, could h.i\e been disposed of to the .uhantagc of sellers. Stores were short of requirement;,, and tat beasts were well represented at W.nuku on Wednesday. THAMES CATTLE MARKET. Messrs Banks .mil Co.'s AVeekly Report.— At Messrs- ]!anks and Co.'s rattle mart at Paiawai to-day, fat cattle were in full supply. Several pens of fjood steers were offered, but the KiMicr.il quality was not up to the usual maik, Many of the cows and heifers were light, and imperfectly tatted. As a consequence prices were \anable, but a\eragcd fully late quotations. Sheep were not so numerous as of late, and bemt; of a sm 111 class, with a greater proportion of ewes, bidding was slow, but eventually the lot were parted with at slightly o\er the owner's limit Prices Ke.,t beet, 255 ; medium, 22s 6d to 24s ; mutton, 2} per lb.
