WHAINGAROA AND KARIOI.

+ Tub above-named Highway districts as constituted, have been abolished under the " Abolition of Provinces Act, 1875,"' and in lieu thereof- they have been reconstructed, the following' being their res- , pective boundaries.

Karioi District. All that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Auckland, bounded towards the north by the Whaingaroa Harbour to Ohira Creek ; thence towards the east by the said Ohira Greek and sections Nos. 79a, 50a, 40, and 21 ; towards the north-east by said section No. 21 and flections Nos. 100, and 41, all of the parish of Whaingaroa, and by a right line being the production of the south-Wo9tern boundary of said section No. 41 until intersected by another right line drawn between the easternmost angle of section No. 65 ; thence towards the south-east by a right line to the said easternmost angle of section No. 104, and by lines forming the south-eastern boundaries of sections Nos. 104, 103, 97, and 100, all of the said parish of Whaingaroa, and section' No. 101, parish of Karioi, to the south-eastern-most angle of last mentioned section ; thence again towards the north-east by a right line to the Matau (old pa) on the Pakoka Creek, and thence by that creek to the Aotea Harbour, thence again towards the east and southeast by the sea.

Whaingaroa District. All that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Auckland, bounded towards the north and west by the Whaingoroa Harbour from Ohira Creek to the eastern boundary of Te A lean Block ; towards the west by the said eastern boundary to the north-western corner of section No 59 ; again towards tho north by a line forming the northern boundary of aforesaid section ; again towards the west and north by lines forming the western and northern boundaries of section No. 56 to an estuary of the Whaingaroa Harbour ; thence across and along the eastern bank of said estuary to the north-western corner of section No 33 ; thence by a line forming the northern boundary of said section ; again towards the west by a line lorming the western boundary of section No 72 ; towards the south and again towards the west and north by lines forming the southern, western and northern boundaries of section No 71 ; again towards the west by lines forming the western boundary of sections Nos 73 and 74 ; towards the north-east by a line forming the north-eastern boundary of said section No 74 to a stream ; thence by that stream and by a line forming the northeastern boundary of section No 55, all of the parish of W&ipa ; towards the ,east by a right line drawn from the eastern corner of said section No 55 to the northeastern corner of section No 167 ; thence by lines forming the eastern boundaries of sections Nos 167 and 173, parish of Karamu, to a stream ; thence by that stream to the Waitetuna River ; thence by that river to the southern boundary of section No 60 ; again towards the south by lines forming the southern boundaries of sections Nos 60, 61a and 61, parish of Whaingaroa ; towauls the south-east by lines forming the south-eastern boundaries of sectious Nos 61, 62, and 63; thence by a right line to the easternmost angle of the Karioi Highway District, and thence towards the west by the said Karioi Highway District to the Whainga10a Harbour.

11l connection with the above it is notified by advertisement in the Gazette that the first meeting of ratepayers in the Whaingaroa will be held m the Courthouse, Raglan, on the 28th ultimo at 2 p.m.; Mr Jas. La Trobe being appointed chairman, and for the Kanoi district at the same place and hour of the 21st ultimo. Mr La Trobe being also appointed chairman.
