Evacuation of Kandahar. Calcutta, April 18.
A telegram has been received from Kandahar that the evacuation of the city by the British garrison has commenced. A report is current, however, that, although the troops will be withdrawn from Kandahar, several British regiments will permanently occupy Chamman Ohoki and Pisheen Valley.
