Brisbane, April 11.
MrMcllwraith, Premier, has telegraphed from London that he believes he will be able to come to terms regarding the trans-continental railway within a week, on the basis of £1,100 for Western Australia, and 1,200 for Gippsland per mile. Mr Mcllwraith reports, regarding the steel rails committee, that he has called no witnesses as he is satisfied that his csse has been prored by his adverearieed. He sails next week on his return voyage to Queensland.
