Wellington, Last Night.
Afc a meeting of the Executive Council held at Dunedin last night, it was decided to extend the time for sending in the report on the management of the Lunatic Asylum until the 19th April. Miss Moffitt, who is matron of the Female Refuge, Dunedin, has been appointed matron of the Asylum here. Rain is wanted badly. The water in the reservoir has now reached the unusually low depth of 2o feet. This is the lowest depth registered any previous year. His Excellency returns from his Southern trip on Friday. The total amount of the Property Tax received at the chief offices in the colony, up to this morning, was £172,954. At a meeting of Mr Mills' creditors, held this afternoon, it was unanimously resolved to grant the debtor his immediate discharge. The little steamer Mohaka, which stranded at Blenheim, has been launched, and arrived here to-day to undergo repairs.
