RESIDENT MAGISTRATE'S COURT, ALEXANDRA.

BY ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH, OWN CORRESPONDENT.] Alexandra, Last Night. At the Resident Magistrate's Court today, before H. W. Northcroft, Esq., R.M., the following cases were heard :— Maunder v. G. McFarlane. The defendant was charged with having an unregistered dog in his possession. He, however, proved that the dog had a collar, and judgment was given for defendant with costs, £4 2s, he having come from Te Aroha to appear.— Maunder v. Souther. This was a similar case. Defendant proved that the dog was registered in Raglan County, and judgment was given for him with costs, 12s. — McDonald v. Manktelow. Debt, £1 2s. Mr Gresham for plaintiff. No appearance of defendant. Judgment for plaintiff with costs, L1s 6d ; Hall v. Box, no

appearance of defendant, and judgment for plaintiff, debt, L 7 17s 10d leas L 2 paid into court. Judgment for plaintiff with costs, 16s. Hill v. Manktelow, debt, L 5 12s 2d. Judgment for plaintiff with costs, 16s ; Aubin v. Hugh Kelly, debt, L 5 7s. Mr Gresham for plaintiff, no appearance ot defendant. Judgment for plaintiff with costs, L 2 2s 9d, Aubin v. Baker, Mr Gresham for plaintiff, debt, L19 5s 9d ; no appearance. Judgment for plaintiff, costs, L 2 4s 6d. Aubin v. Ripley, debt, 11s. Mr Gresham for plaintiff, no appearance of defendant. Judgment for plaintiff, L1 9s 9d. Maunder v. Walter Paul, highway rates, 10s. Judgment for plaintiff with costs, L1 5s. 0d.
