PRESBYTERIAN GENERAL ASSEMBLY. [BY TELEGRAPH, PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Wellington, Tuesday.
The Presbyterian general assembly of New Zealand met this evening. The Rev. Mr Macniccol, of Auckland, Moderator, opened with an appropriate address, and the Key. Mr Ross, of Turakina, Was appointed l Moderator for ' the 'ensuing term. He delivered an address on the future prospects of Christianity. The usual sessional committees were appointed, and the assembly adjourned until to-morrow afternoon. They sit daily — noon and evening.
