Sydney, March 4. A cricket match between the Australian team and tho combined eleven of New South Wales and Victoria was commenced here to-day. The weather was fine. The combined team went first to the wicket*, and were out for 197. Massie, with 80, and Bannerman, with 64 ; were the top scorers* When the 6tump<3 were drawn for. tho d?y, the Australians had scored 69 rnns with the loss of one wicket.

Massie was bowled for GO. There' was o large attendance at the match.
