PUKEKURA HIGHWAY BOARD.

A. meeting of trustees was held at the Pukerimu School on Monday f 21st inst., all themembers being present. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. Letters were received and read from Me-sra Lake, CUley, Buttle, and Turner, re bridge over My«tery Creek, drawing attention to the present dangerous state of the crossing, and urging the desirability of erecting a bridge at once, a<§ the load is now more u-*cd than formerly, iat^ would be a great benefit to the residents ia the .district, It was resolved that tenders be invited for erecting a bridge at once. Tenders received and opened for works as advertised from Mcshm Thompson and Harris H. J. Turner, Cowley, Hughe* and Wil.'oughby, Norrish, J. Bell, $en., W. Howie, and Mackay and Bridgi|ian. Accepted Tenders. — No. I : Deepening 1 drain, id per yard (Mooney). no. 2 : Gravelling near Howie's, 8* per chain (J. Bell). No. 3: Porminir, Bell* roid^lSs per chain (NorriHh and Kennedy^. J^o. 4 : Making culverts, &0., on Bell* road, (J. Bull). No. 5 : Cutting and, forming mad near Cowley«, 5d per yard (Norrish). No. 6: Forming road near ball's, 7^sd per chain (Norrish). No. 7: W'denicg road near Lake's, 3* per chain (Coiriey). No. 8 : Forming Putn«y. road, 3s 9d per chain (Thompson »nd Harris). No. 9 : Forming road near M-'navale, . 7»; per chain (Howie). No. 10: Fencing culvert*, £12 13s (Howie). No. 11 : Claying part of Swamp road, Is 6d per cubic yard (Howie).
