Aucklavd Cattle Markht.— Mr Alfred Buckhand's Weekly Report . At the Haymarket, on Friday last, fodder maintained his previous week's values, best oaten sheaves reaching 3s 6d the cwt. Hor;>o stock offered were mostly of a small and medium clash. For medium draught, prices ranged from Ll4 to L2O, inferior horses from L 4 to Lio eich. On Tuesday, hides bi ought from 2^d to 3?d the lb.; full-woolled sheepskins, 6s ; pelts, from to is 2d each. Wool, in bales, 6Jd to 8d the lb. Tallow, 20s Gd to 22s the cwt. At Pokeno, on Monday, there was .1 larger muster of cattle than usual. For young and glowing cattle there was .1 fair inquiry, but cows were more dull of sale. Sc\cral pens of sheep sold freely. At Drury, on Wednesday, there was a. full muster of stock of all descriptions, with a corresponding demand. Pi ices were higher, from 5s to 10s per head, than for several weeks, with a steady demand throughout the sale. At Remuera, on rinirsda), dairy cows were in moderate supply and at late values. Store cattle in better inquiry than last week. Fat cattle in full number and of choice quality, but prices were irregular; plump cattle, light weight, ranged from 23s to 255, but heavy cattle were from 18s to 21s the ioolbs. A full market of fat sheep met with a slow sale, prices Hinging from I{d to 2d the lb. Lambs were plentiful, but in good inquiry ; best qu.iht) bi ought fiom 9s to 14s each, and porkers were in good demand at full pi ices. About an average number were entered for disposal on Friday, at the Durham Yards, and, though at first bidding was slow, most in were disposed either at the hammei or privately ifter thi> sale. We quote : — flacks, L 6 to Ll5 15s ; medium draught, LlB to L 26 10s ; heavy draught, L 35 10s. Cattle : At Newmarket, on Tuesday, the yards were well hlled. Dairy cattle were slightly lower in value, though wellbred cows at their profit sold well. Calves were plentiful, and sold at an advance on last week's quotations. Fat cattle in full number, though small in sue, and sold a shade lower than the previous week's quotations. Sheep: A large number were brought forward for sale. Good fat wetlu'rs sold freely, but fat ewes receded slightly in value. We quote. — AVethcrs, uSto 14s od ', ewes, 9s to 12s. Lambs were in short supply, and consequently sold high. Pigs : Few )arded, with an iuquiry for good porkers.
