Wellington, Last Night.
Mr Rolleston left by the 4 o'clock coach for Wanganui, en route for the Waimate Plains. Mr Mclverrow, the Surveyor- , General, accompanied Mr Rolleston, who will have have an interview with Mr Bryce in pausing 1 on certain matters connected with the Native Department. Mr Rolleston'a mission chiefly relates to land survey matters, but he will also go to Puugrehu camp, where Colonel Reader, who follows him shortly, will meet him. Mr Rolleston's absence will probably extend oTer a week. Mr Dink, who arrived from Australia by the Rotamnhana and makes a very brief stay in Dunedin, i8 expected to roach Wellington on Friday. Mr Oliver will probably follow by the next steamer arriving 1 on Sunday. Major Atkinson, though Htill vory lame, leaves for Tarauaki to attend a weddingin hie family.
