The death of Mrs Anuie Maria Hall, authoress, u announced to-day. The debate in the House of Commons on the Irish Coercion Bill was resumed last erening. Mr Gladstone refused to agrep to a compromise, which was demanded by the opponents to the measure, and insisted that a diTision he taken. A ladies' seotiou of the Irish Land League has been initiated in Dublin. News comes to hand to-day that the Fenians bare caused placards to be posted up throughout Ireland, setting forth their rights in inflammatory terms. The police, however, acted promptly, and destroyed all the placards which had been posted, besides a quantity ready for further distribution.
