At the meeting for the election of a Pchool Committee for the Waitoa School district, only four electors put in. an appearance, consequently no election took place. Messrs Smith a.,d Grimes are pushing ahe.id with their contract on the Eich-inond-Morrinsville road, and Laurence Hayos ha-, finished his contract of painting clip bridges, m,ikin<r them look quite smart. The dog collars for this district do not ippear to have turned up yet, so the dogne* h ivp had no cnu-e tof ar and tremble. —^Own Correspondent.)
