SERIOUS ACCIDENT TO MR. D. B. HINDLE.
We rugrcfc to have fco record a very serious accident which happened to Mr Hindle, a Well-known and prominent bettler at 1 , Whatawhat-i, on Tue->day evening. He ay i^ fo.ra I lying on the road, a, few hundred yards from his house, about duhk, quite inpenuible, by one of his men, and conveyed home. Dr Edgelov? wais sont for, and on receiving iulimiitioii proceeded at once to Whatawhdta, lemainiii'jr with the patient all nijjht. Fiom an examinntion made, it was found thnfc a b.ul r.oncnsiion of the brain had been occasioned. He was still unconscious when the doctor left yesteiday morniner, and it was thought advisable to telegraph for Dr. Haines, of Auckland, who arrived by last evening-'s train. Dining yesterday Mr Hindle once regained consciousness, but afterwards relap&ed, and grave doubts are entertained as to his recovery.
