Crushing Defeat.— Pierola Fled. London, January 22.

News has been received from South America that the Chilians have occupied the Peruvian capital, Lima, on Monday last. Two sanguinary battles were fought between the two iorces, and it is said that 7000 Peruvians were killed. The Chilian loss is not stated. Owing to the defeat of his troops and the occupation of his citadel, Pierola, the President of Peru, has fled.
