CRICKET. The Australian Cricketers at Invercargill. [BY TELEGRAPH. — PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Invercargill, Tuesday.

The match, Australian Eleven v. Invercargill Twenty-two, was resumed this morning. Slight and Groube, the not outs, taking their places at the wickets. The rain of last night had, unfortunately, made the ground exceedingly wet, a disadvantage as much felt by the field as by the men at the wickets. Iha scoring was very slow, and the rather monotonous, until Slight, after playing well for 17, put one up to J. Morrison off Ellis at cover point, and retired. Palmer took his place, and battled freely, though the balls appeared to be well on the wickets. Kingsland and Ellis trundling in capital style. A splendid catch in slips by Nash dismissed Palmer for 11. Blackhara appeared, but was soon caught by Miller. White supplied his place, and, after making one hit for 4, was caught. The innings closed for 200 runs. After a short adjournment, the Australians took the field. The play of the Jnvercargill men, though better than on the previous day, calls for no special comment. They made 74, leaving the Australians victors in one innings, with 83 runs to spare. The weather to-day was showery, and this lessened the attendance of the public. About 500 were present to-day, and 1000 yesterday. Appended are the scores :
