Keyless Watches (Stem-Winders.) The Keyless mechanism to a w.itch is one of the great modern improvements in watch work ; it does away with the oldfashioned key, with which so many persons have ruined their watch. The watch is wound by turning a mirJed knob, placed on the handle or bow, instead of by the oidinary means : the hands aie set in the same way. The advantages of these improvements are obvious ; the case, which never need be opened in windrng, is made air-tight and dust-tight, thus preserving much longer the fluidity of the oil, and gieatly prolonging tho intervals between the necessary cleaning of the watch.
