On hi 1 * way to the lock-up, the prisoner endoavouied to rt"-cue the drunken man, laying hold of the witness and threatening him. — Joseph Freer gave corroborative evidence, and the M.igi&tr.ito inflicted a fine of £3, with costs 17s, in default one month's imprisonment. — The .same prisoner was chaiged with a bleach of the " Vagrant Act," !»y making use of profane language, and by behaving in a way calculated to provoke a breach of the peace — The evidence of Mr aud Mrs Judd having been taken, the prisoner waa fined £2, with co^ts, iv default one month's imprisonment.
