THE GOVERNOR'S VISIT TO WAIKATO.

We understand that the following programme of the visit of His Excellency the Governor to this district has been arrangad : — Sir Arthur Gordon and suite will leave Auckland by special train about 6 o'clock on the morning of Friday, the 21st inst., and will arrive at the Hamilton station at mid-day. Hia Excellency will bo accompanied by the Attorney-General, and will bo met at the station by the t svo members for the district, and the Chairmen of the Waikato and Waipa County Councils. The party will then be driven to the Borough in a four-in-hand. The Hamilton Troop, Waikato Cavalry, will provide an escort, under the command of Lieut. Johnson. At the Borough Council offices, it is understood that the Hamilton Light Infantry Band will be in attendance to precede His Excellency into the town. A triumphal arch will be erected, at which will bo stationed the Mayor aud Council of the Borough of Hamilton, who will present an address to His Excellency. The Governor will then proceed to lunch at Gwynne's Hotel at 2 o'clock in the afternoon. The party will then proceed to Cambridge, where His Excellency will lay the foundation stone of the new Anglican Church. On the following day His Excellency will leave for the Lake District.
