CAMBRIDGE JOCKEY CLUB. SUMMER MEETING.
This meeting, to be held to-morrow and Thursday, the 12th and 13th inst., bids fair to be one of thorough'and unbounded success. The stewards, with the;r indefatigable Secretary, Mr Walter Scott, may well be congratulated on having such a programme for presentation to the public. So far, it is extremely gratifying to know that their energy has been rewarded by entries, that m quality and in number, can only be looked at in;, the most satisfactory light. In' fact, ,'the club may boast of having the best and bluest blood that ran in the Auckland Races. So far, so good. The question has been asked where are Mr Walters' horses ? We look forward to seeing some of this gentleman's stud contending on [Mr Fantbam's turf. This course may well be deemed second to none in the Provincial District if in the Colony, and with the comfort and accomodation of the Grand Stand and other conveniences for fee comfort of. the' general public, the meeting will," *n all probability, draw a very large concourse of people' from all pajrts of the Provincial District* , ;
