For horses tnat have never won an advertised race exceeding lOsovs. Entrance, l^sovs. Cambridge Cup Handicap, of lOOsovs. 2 miles. Nomination, 2sovs. Acceptance, Ssovs. Flying Stakes, of 20sovs., £ of a mile, weight for age. Entrance, 28OVS. Maiden Steeplechase, of 20«0v5., once round the Steeplechase course, about 1^ miles. For horses that have never won an advertized Steeplechase exceeding lOsovs. Welter weight for age. Entrance, 2sovp. Hack Selling Race, of iosovp., once round course, weight, 10 htone. Winner to be sold immediately after race, for ISsovs., surplus if any, to go to the funds. Post entries. Entrance, 10s. Second horse to Have his stake.
SECOND DAY. Maiden Hurdle Race, a Silver Cup value £10, presented by Mr Lewisson, of Auckland, with 15 soys. added. l\ milen, over 6 flights of hurdles 3ft. 6in". high. Gentlemen riders. For hordes that have never won an advertised hurdle race exceeding 10 soys. Welter weight for agre. Entrance, 2 soya. Publicans' Purse Handicap, of 75 soys. If miles. Nomination, 2 soys. ; acceptance, 3 soys. Handicap to be declared at 8 p.m. night of first day's races. Waikato Steeplechase, a handicap of 00 soys. ; übout 3 miles, over fair hunting country. Nomination, 2 boys. ; acceptance, 3 soys. Grand Stand Handicap, of 25 sove. 1 \ miles. Entrance, 2 boys. Maori Race, of 10 i-ovs. ; twice round course. Catch weights. Horses to be owned and riddtn by natives. Three to start or no race. Entrance, 1 soy. Consolation Handicap, of 20 soy?., for beaten horses during the meeting. Once round course. Entrance, 1 soy.
Conditions. Entrance fee to be forwarded with nomination and color?, age and pedigree of horse addressed to the Seoretaiy, Postoffice, Cambridge or Mr William Percival, Auckland, not later than Fiiday, 31st December, 1880. Weights will appear in Auckland and Waikato papers on Thursday, Janury 6th 1881. with the exception of the Publicans' ! Purse, which will be declared at 8 p.m. night of first day's races. Acceptance money payable to the Secretary, or Mr Percival, by Saturday, Bth January, 1881, before 8 p.m. Acceptance for Publicans' Purse will be received, up to 12 o'clock noon of second day's races. No entry will be received, except upon the conditions that all claims, disputes, and objections arising- shall be decided by the Stewards, or whom they may appoint, and their decision shall bo final. All protests must be accompanied with a deposit of 3 soys., which will be forfeited to the funds of the Club, should the Stewards consider the proteat frivolous or vexatious. The Rules of the Auckland Racing Club will be strictly adhered to. Ten per cent, from prizes in each event will be deducted for second horse. WALTER SCOTT, Hon. Sec.
