My object in buying so largety (sufficient for 12 months) is that I may be able to maintain the high quality and character of my Tea right through the year. I have had great reason to regret that, owing to the state of the tea market, both here and in Melbourne for the past four months, it was simply impossible to get the cevfcam quantities I find to be indispensable in producing a Family Tea which will command general approbation. I take thi^ opportunity of thanking my customers (whose name is legion) for the immense trade in Tea which I have been doing during the just year, and I can assure them that 1 never was in such a good position as now, and never more willing than now to satisfy them with tho fragrant cup that cheers but not inebriates, lily New Teas are turning out in ftpleudid condition — rich and mellow, yet brisk and pungent ; deep in color, full hi fittenfith, agreeable in flavor, and grand in the cup. My Family Mixture, containing a proper proportion of the Rich and Powciful Assam (though superior by 2d. per lb. to last year's), I will, as before, send out in boxes containing 121bs. and 201bs. nett. at the veiy Moderate Price of 2s. and 4d. per pound. Teas, in half-chests, from Is. 6d. to 2s. 6d. per lb. My motto — " Small profits, large trade."
