It is hereby notified that Mr Robert Fitzmauricc Sandes and Mr Charles Tippen have been nominated as Candidates for the Office of Councillor for the above Borough, and that a Poll will be taken at the Council Chambers, Hamilton, for the return of one Burgess as Councillor on MONDAY, the 10th of January, 1881, between the hours of nine in the morning and six in the afternoon. IVTEW ZEALAND RAILWAYS. Native Coal and Coke. Railway Department, Wellington, December 13, 1880. Separate Written Tenders will be received until Noon of SATURDAY, the 15th January, 1861, for the Supply and Delivery of Coal and Coke. They must be addressed to the General Manager of New Zealand Railways, Wellington, and marked outside, " Tender for Coal." • Specifications can be seen, and forms of Tender obtained at the Offices of the Railway Managers, at Auckland, Whangarei, Napier, Wellington, Wanganui, New Plymouth, Nelson, Picton, Greymouth, Westport, Christchurch, and Dunedin. Telegraphic Tenders will be reoeived, if presented at any Telegraph Office by Noon of the same date, provided that Written Tenders in due form are lodged at a Railway Manager's Office by the same hour.
