Awards to New Zealand Brewers. Melbourne, December 23.
The official awards for beer at the Exhibition have been published. The awards announced by a telegram on the 12th are correct, but the following additions are now known :— For porter in bulk, Messrs Ehrenfried, Auckland, 2nd prize ; for bottled porter, Messrs fchrenfried, Auckland, 2nd. For bottled ales : Crowe, of Christchurch, Ehrenfried, of Auckland, and Strachan, of Dunedin, take 3rd' prize. For brown ales, Manning, Ist ; Hargan of Dunedin, Thompson, of Oamaru, McTaggart of Palmerston 2nd ; and Cochrane, of Dunedin, 3rd.
