Te Awamutu and Te Rahu versus Alexandra and Mangapiko District Schools. Ox Saturday, 4th December, the boys attending Alexandra and Mangapiko Schools went to Te Awamutu, in churge of Mr Bond, to play a match against the boys attending Te Awamutu and Te Rahu Schools. Mr Benge acted as umpire for Te Awamutu, and Mr T. Bond for Alexandra. Mr Carter, of Alexandra, waa also present. The match was won easily by the Alexandra boys, whose batting and fielding was much superior to that of the Te Awamutu team. The good play of the Alexandra team is in a preat measure fairly attributed to Mr Bond, who has kindly coached the Alexandra boys during the last few weeks. The Te Awamutu boys appear to have depended entirely on T. Mandeno's bowling (which waa good), but not of itself sufficient to achieve a victory against Alexandra boys, who appear well able to defend their stumps. The following are the scores : —
