Auckland, Last Night. Mrs Edgar, the wife of the dyer, with her daughter and son, were thrown from a buggy, and Mrs Edgar's knee-cap was broken. The bhip Dunloe, from London, has arrived. Warden Kenrick only granted two existing licenses to Te Aroha. It is intended to refuse all others till the field is proved. For the Volunteer firing, Buchanan won the first prize, with a score of 58 ; fair* 1 , second, 58.
Christchurch, Last Night. Mr Miller's house was burned down during the absence of the occupants. A grocery occupied by Mr Carson was also destroyed.
