TE AW AMU TU DOMAIN BOARD.
A meeting of the Board was held at Lewis's Central Waikato Hotel on Saturday afternoon. Present — Messrs Sloauc (in the chair), W. Taylor, Hutchinson, Rutherford, and Winstone. The Chairman reported that this meeti ing had been called, to hear the result of [ an interview which the Chairman of the Board, Mr Wainwright had had with the member for the district, Mr Whitaker. Mr Wain wright had desired Mr Whitaker to apply for a money grant to apply to the improvement of the Domain Reserve, but that gentleman had given it as his opinion that there was little chance at present of the Government doing anything of the sort. He, howerer, said theßoard might make application for some of the Government unsold iand in the district as an endowment with, eocae likelihood of success. It now remained for the Board to say what bhould be done in these circumstances.
