BROKERS AND TfMPOEAEY OFFICES OP THE . COMX'ANY. ; Messrs Charles Pownall and ? 0., Greystreet, Wellington. Mats AQtEßiyrothri. ': A. H. Malcolm, Esq. Copies of Prospectus and forms ,of Application for Shaves can be obtained from' the Brokers-, Provisional Directors, or ft dm any of the Branches of the B.ink of New Zealand' in this Colony, until the loth day of December, 1880, at which date all applications must be in the hands of the Brokers, when the list will positively be closed and shares allotted. Specimens of Caswell Sound Marble can be seen at any of the Museums in New Zealand ; the Chamber of Commerce, Wellington ; or on application to any of the Officers of the Company. In introducing this eligible investment to the notice of the public, the promoters desire to state that the Company's rights, comprise the best, most available, extensive, and perhaps most valuable Marble deposits in the known world, at all events in the Southern Hemisphere. This is sufficiently proved by Caswell Sound Ma>ble securing the first prize at the late Sydney Exhibition against Italian statuary and other valuable varieties. They also wish to dwell upon its known cerlainty and non-speculative character, the ultimate success of this venture being now well established. The lowest quotation for this Marble is 12s per ioot and ranges up to £5. Larger blocks are, however, much moro valuable, tome pure white statuary, without flaws, realising as much as ,C-o,'-00 >terlinyin Europe. The nrdmnry price for a block Miitub'e for a lite-td/e human atituc being about .El ooo. The . prebßjit cott of producing tiiis Marble by manual labour only is about 2v per cubic foot, f. o. I). Those figme^ may iii.mear incredible, but they are no\erth"k^s^ absolutely correct. Thus', tlxking the co'-t of production as btatcd and the very lowest wholesale quotation at 12a per foot, gives the apparently fabulous minimum rate of 500 per cent, piotft. It is therefore, no visionary matter, a.s these are leading commeicial lines and the values well known, the faqilitieb of production, Hta'pment, high quality of prodOtct, giving a vast advantage over any like property in the world. We will also ventuie to predict that the value of the Company's shares will increase at least 300 pr cent, -r ithin twelve months of isbiie. Referring to consumption of thet-c commodities, it is also enormous. The consumption of Marble, Portland Cement, and Lime in the Australian Colonies alone duiing the last twelve months has been ii2,872,G00 .sterling, and rapidly increasing, Caswell Sound is a commodiiib and snfe harbour for the largest vc^bels in all weathers, the • works of the Company being situated at the waters edge. The Government of this Colony has :ilso pioini ed to favourably consider special grunts and concessions in aid Ah soon a< the Company is kucoessf ully floated. For fuvthxv particulars > o other mineiala found at, tho Sound, copper, coal, gold, &c, siKo the manufacture of Indniulio cement, lime, &c, &c, t.<y ether with .scicntiiic, professional, Government, and other reports, witli detail--, ot th» objects and intentions of tho Company, v.c rtfer to the PiospectiiN, which can be obtained upon application to any oi (he oilieeis of th^ Com];<inv, or from Compmy's Ajreute, the Bank of New Zealaud, at any of their brandies in this Colony and Australia ; also at the ofiie-e of this paper.
