Pedigree — Hippocampus by Dainty Ariel, dam Fanny Fisher, out of Coquette by Fisherman (sire of Maribyrnong) by Heron, Dainty Ariel, out of Althea (sister to Cassandra, dam of Yattendon) by Riddlesworth by Emilius, Coquette by Launcelot (own brother to Touchstone) out of Abaft by Sheet Anchor. From the above pedigree it will be seen that owners of mares can get the very best combination of stout and fast blood to be obtained in the Southern hemisphere, vide the grand performances of the stock of the above sires — Dainty Ariel, Maribyrnoig, and Yattendon. Terms— Thorough-lved mares, £10 10s; half-bred mares, £0 6s. Paddocks for mares at Mr. Garland's, where every care will be taken, but no responsibility incurred. The above Horse will leave his box on Mondiy.s for the purpose of travelling to Te Awamutu via Narrow's Bridge, remaining at the Ohaupo Hotel from 10 to 12 a.m., arriving at Te Awamutu on evening of same day, where he will remain until Wednesday. From thence to Hewitt's Hotel, Cambridge, and home Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. There will be no business of any kind done on Sundays. Parties wishing to send mares can rply upon every attention being paid them, for which Is per week will be charged for grazing.

"HERCULE S," Bred by Mr Murphy, of Spring Creek, and raced by Mr Redwood. Got by Ravensworth, dam Plover, by Sir Hercules, Ravens worth by Touohatone, Fair Jean by Veralurn, lair Queen by Pantaloon. Hercules is a bay horse, 8 years old, and stands \b\ hands high, combines the best of blood with good bone and immense power, and has proved himself a good horse on the turf. At the Canterbury meeting in 1876, won the Grand stand Handicap, 1 mile, in 1 mm. 50 sees., carryings st. 2 lbs., beating 6 others. In the same year won the Hawkes Bay Stakes, 2 miles, in 4 mins. \\ sees. , beating Fishhook and the Maori Weed.
Hercules will travel on and after Ist October, calling at the undermentioned places: — Mondays — Leave Cambridge, calling at Ohaupo and Alexandra. Tuesdays—Te Awamutu andKihikihi Wednesdays— Kihikihi Thursdays— Will call at Rotorangi on his return to Mr W. K. Carter's, Cambridge, where he remains the rest of the week. Farms visited on the road.
