PUKEKURA HIGHWAY BOARD.
The ordinary monthly meeting of the Board was held on the 1 9th, bui, although our report was despatched on the following day it did not reach ua till Tuesday morning. There were present : Messrs R. Reynolds (chairman), E. B. Walker, Sturge*, Buttle, and Turner. The minutes of previous meeting were read and confirmed. — A letter was received from the Hamilton Highway Board re bridge over Mystery creek. — It was resolved that Messrs Sturges and Turner wait on Mr Stcelo, and show plan prepared by Mr Cooper, and that the Pukekura Highway Board will bear s*hare of cost of said bridge, not to exceed £70, including cuttings. — A letter was received from the Rangiaobia Highway Board, paying the proposed alterations would not be mutually beneficial. — The Secretary was requested to get plan colored, showing proposed alteration?, and to forward the same with petition from ratepayers requesting separation to the Minister for Public Works. — ■ ' Letter was received from Mr A. Wallace with cheque for £5, requesting road intersecting his property to be closed — Deferred till next meeting — Re O'Neills and Watson's Road. — Resolved that tenders bo invited for draining and forming road. Tenders to be sent in to the chairman by 4 p.m. on Wednesday, let December. Specifications to be seen at Mr E. B. Walker's. — Resolved that trustees meet at Mr Walker's house on the 2nd December, to see what work will be required in the district for the year. — Accounts re* ceived and parsed for payment to the amount of £6 7s fid.— Revived— " That the culverts near Kingdom, blacksmith, al&o cutting near Chitty's be fenced." — Resolved — "That the next meeting bo held on Thursday, 2nd December, at 3 p.m. ia the Pukeaimu School.
