CAMBRIDGE JOCKEY CLUB.

There was a good attendance of the Committee of the Cambridge Jockey Club at a meeting held on Wednesday evening, at the Criterion Hotel, Mr Robert Kirkwood in the chair. At the request of several influential Auckland sporting gentlemen, it was unanimously resolved to change the date of the Summer Meeting from the 6th and 7th January (previously decided) to the 12th and 13th, the former dates not giving horses a sufficient rest after the Auckland races. Tbe programme which was finally adopted and appears in our advertising columns, is a very liberal one, and should induce a large number of owners who run their horses at Auckland, to nominate for Cambridge. The Committee were very unanimous and appear determined to spare no pains to make this meeting as successful as the Club's Summer Meeting was last year.
