THE MELBOURNE CUP. Final Acceptances.
The total number of acceptances for the "Blue Ribbon" of the Australian colonies is 37. Some surprise is expressed at several horses left in and others withdrawn. Among the latter are Lord Harry, Sweetmeat, Zambesi, Grand Prix, and Sir Joseph Yardley.
